The thing that I really like about these matching pairs puzzles is the discussion that they promote between students. Students really enjoy them and often get quite animated putting them together. This discussion helps iron out any fallacies. Quite often students realise that the final few tiles cannot be matched up. They then have to go through each of the pairs and justify to each other why they are the same....
